Today is sunny and a cool 14 degrees (thats 57 degrees Fahrenheit for my Americans back home). Lincoln is partaking in his favorite afternoon ritual -- inside sun bathing. He finds the perfect sunny spot on the floor and follows it around the living room all afternoon until the sun starts to set and no longer shines through our window.
This time of year is my favorite but in a couple of days daylight savings will soon become a problem. The sun is already setting earlier each day, and soon we'll be setting our clocks back. The time change gives us more light in the mornings but much darker evenings which seem to be what affects me the most. So in gaining an extra hour of sleep this weekend, Linc and I will be rising earlier in the mornings and putting ourselves to bed a bit earlier in the evenings. That way we can still take advantage of every ounce of sunshine in an attempt to beat the winter blues.
How do you adjust to the longer nights?
