So I've been away for a bit. I had every intention of blogging while on my trip back to the United States but, to be honest, I was having too much fun! My prime mission was to fulfil my bridesmaid's duties and take part in my best friend's wedding.
I have known Michelle since we were pre-teens and *NSync-loving, nerdy girls. I love every bit of the girl she was and the woman she is. It doesn't matter how long we're apart; we immediately pick up where we left off. That's what great friendship is all about after all.
I have never attended a wedding for eight hours, but let me tell you, every minute of Michelle's big day was AMAZING! I have never had so much fun or danced so much! I don't think anyone will top it. The bonus to everything was that Michelle's wedding was in our hometown. So I was able to spend a lot of quality time with her and my family. It can't get much more convenient than that!
I haven't spent time at home in the summer in years. It was great to be there when the sun was hot and the only thing to worry about was a quick passing thunderstorm (which I love). It was definitely a bittersweet feeling when I boarded my flight to leave last Thursday afternoon, but it feels really good to be home! I missed Luke and my pups so much!
