I think these past few mild days was Summer trying to make up for Autumn giving us a taste of what she's got planned back at the beginning of the month. Waking up this morning I feel like I was officially greeted with the arrival of Fall; it was still, misty, and quiet -- just magic. This time of year is my favorite. The days become chillier making me strategically layer for what's ahead and the growing evenings have me looking forward to snuggling up at home.
Watching the edges of the leaves slowly turn from green to amber and red always reminds me that this is a significant point in the year. September is the start of this transition in many ways. It's when children start new school routines, and typically, we travel a bit less and begin settling down. It is the calm before the storm of the holidays. I find that September is the time to set goals and to make adjustments that maybe have gotten off track with the craziness of summer -- like my gym routine. It was also the perfect time for me to re-start this blog!
Autumn is the last hurrah of nature before she tucks herself into bed for the winter. Soon we all will turn our clocks backward to accommodate the changing daylight and fully embrace the comforts of the season. I'm ready to get cozy! Who's with me?
I would love to hear any transformative goals you've set for yourself this season! Please share!
