I have a hard time with New Year's resolutions. I take time to make them but the feeling I get when I don't follow through or get sidetracked is ultimately very defeating. I don't think we should ever make ourselves feel like failures. So this year, instead of setting a bunch of new resolutions, I have decided to stick with what is working for me now.
In 2018 I'm not going to beat myself up for taking a few extra minutes in bed but I will continue to make time for the gym. I will also continue my journey towards a more simple, less cluttered space, and work harder towards wasting less. I will also continue to feed my mind; reading at least one new book a month seems to be the only resolution I have ever stuck with. I actually like the idea of following an online book club!
I think something we should all strive for is to be happy with what we have and not what we could have or want. Appreciate what is working for you now, appreciate what's around you, take it all in and be satisfied! It's a pretty awesome feeling. You're fantastic no matter what! ❤︎
